I had the roast pack. The roast vegies were not cooked.

I love the food and customer service here, but when sitting next to the window it can get quite hot during sunny days, is there possibly a way to tint or have uv protective windows so that it's not so hot when sitting next to the window? 🙂

Who doesn't love roast chicken over coals?! Charcoal chicken is affordable and great tasting

Tasty as usual

Tasty food, very quick, and they always cram as many chips as possible into the takeaway container for you. The only bad thing about Charcoal is that they don't have a presence in Hobart.

Freshly cooked food, chips were delicious. Only negative is that they need a better serving system, they lose it on that. But food wise excellent

I thought the service was good, considering how busy they can get.Nice chicken, potato bake, pasta bake but tonight the pumpkin and gravy was average.On site parking (thankfully)

Very unhygienic. Some of the young staff are very rude.and despite going there all the time and always asking for no cheese on one Burger and no Mayo on the other that somehow only get it right maybe 2 out of ten times . but Still is a nice burger but I do get grossed out by the hygiene standards and also think it could pay for them to dress is some what kind of work clothes instead of tiny running shorts active wear tops and running shoes looks very sloppy and sadly bogan and adds to knowing there lack off effort

Don't understand how they get 4 star rating as the chicken is dry and over cooked. Fries barely make it and greatest regret for eating here at Launceston

When walked in was not welcomed. Had an odd table in the mix. Chairs weren’t comfortable. When I first heard of charcoal chicken what first came to my mind was black chicken. The food came in a good time in matter. Food was alright but when I was finish I was in need for a place to wash my hands but they had no place to......

Although when it comes to chicken, I'm fairly easy to please, this place had awesome chips, peas and absolutely juicy, delicious chicken. The dicent sized dining area was quite clean, and even though it was near on closing time I managed to get excellent service from the young girl working there.

Chicken was great. Chips werent bad. Although there were quite a few that were a little to dry. Service of staff wasnt the worst. A little unenthusiastic, but got served straight away and food was nice and quick to come out.

Great place for lunch/dinner, I've been going to this place for years, great customer service and appreciate the owner of the store.

Last time ordered a 1/4 chicken with veggies. Not happy..didn't receive the corn and peas ..like I always do!!! and no one warned me before hand that they had run out..or..whatever..When i got home with my usual two orders..surprise surprise..One order perfect but mine...hmmm ...missing I would have ordered something different if i had of known beforehand!!!! Usually a 4 star..yesterday a 1-2 star... from me..anyways

A great place for a tasty feed. Inexpensive but delicious food served quickly.

I ordered 2 whole chickens and a large chips. The quality was good. Chicken was well cooked and juicy. The chips were freshly fried and crispy with a delicious amount of chicken salt. I received quick and friendly service. They have indoor seating and take away is also available.

Best chicken! I remember this place from 14 years ago when I used to visit. It’s as good as I remembered. I brought my husband here with me this time. We loved it so much, in our 3 day visit, we went twice!

I'm not sure how long it's going to take me to get over this, obviously previous comments have never had charcoal chicken in Melbourne! I couldn't even eat the chicken I threw it out and the chips were bearable at best, still didn't finish them tossed then also. If your from the mainland beware, it tastes nothing like we know back home.

The original charcoal chicken had more menu options then I'm used to which was nice to try a new burger. This is now my go to charcoal chicken as Mowbray closed down. Still the best take away chips and gravy 10/10

best chicken and best chips in launceston. great service from very friendly staff. highly recommend this place. i love it!

Went in yesterday for a late lunch at around 2pm and was served by the rudest little cow with a bad dye job and an even worse attitude. This is what happens when you hire foetuses. I wasn't the only person disgusted by her service, she was also extremely rude to a couple in front of me. Food was amazing as always but I'd lost my appetite by that point. Hire better staff!
